Jharkhand to Convert Vacated Security Camps into Development Hubs Post-Maoist Eradication

Jharkhand has announced a plan to transform vacated security camps into development hubs following the successful elimination of Maoist activity in the state. The camps, once used for counter‑insurgency operations, have been idle since the insurgency was neutralised. The government intends to repurpose these sites for local development projects, including skill training, small‑business incubation and community facilities, aiming to boost economic growth and improve living standards for residents.
