A man in Jharkhand murdered his mother and sister over a land disagreement, set their bodies on fire and hid them in a cave, police said.
Police in Jharkhand have arrested a man suspected of killing his mother and sister after a dispute over a piece of land. The victims were reportedly found after neighbours reported suspicious activity near a remote cave.
The accused is alleged to have set the bodies on fire before concealing the charred remains inside the cavern, an effort to destroy evidence of the homicide.
Investigators say the land row escalated into violence, leading the perpetrator to commit the murders. The case is now being forwarded to the district court, where the accused could face charges of murder, attempt to conceal a dead body and arson.
