The Jharkhand government announced plans to promote the state as a showcase for digital healthcare, seeking to improve medical service delivery through technology.
State officials disclosed that Jharkhand will be marketed as a model for digital healthcare across India. The initiative is intended to demonstrate how telemedicine, electronic health records and data‑driven diagnostics can be integrated into the public health system.
The government plans to collaborate with technology providers and healthcare institutions to set up pilot projects in selected districts. These pilots will focus on remote consultations, real‑time patient monitoring and streamlined referral mechanisms.
By positioning itself as a digital health hub, Jharkhand hopes to attract investment, improve access for rural populations and lay the groundwork for a scalable national framework.
