Jessica Chastain Horror Film Opens Modestly in India

The horror feature starring Jessica Chastain opened in India on its first day with a modest box‑office performance, NDTV Profit reported. While the film was expected to attract a larger audience, the collections fell short of initial projections. The report did not disclose specific earnings figures, but noted that the opening was below the benchmarks set by comparable releases. Industry observers suggest that the film’s limited marketing and niche genre may have contributed to the subdued turnout. Despite the modest start, the distributors remain hopeful that word‑of‑mouth and critical reviews could boost the film’s performance in the coming weeks.
