A JCB excavator was deployed to bury 10,000 kilograms of sweets found to be adulterated in Uttar Pradesh, according to India Today.
On an undisclosed date, Uttar Pradesh authorities engaged a JCB excavator to dispose of a large quantity of sweets that had been discovered to contain harmful additives.
The 10,000 kilograms of confectionery, produced for local consumption, were deemed unsafe after laboratory tests revealed the presence of adulterants that could pose health risks.
Using the heavy machinery allowed officials to quickly and securely bury the contaminated sweets on site, preventing them from entering the food supply chain.
