On the one‑year anniversary of the M.Y. Hospital rat incident, activists of the Jayas movement began a foot march in Indore but were stopped by police at the hospital’s entrance, where they laid wreaths for the victims.
Activists belonging to the Jayas movement launched a foot march in Indore to mark the first anniversary of the rat incident at M.Y. Hospital. The rally, organised under the "Nyay Hungar" programme, set out from Tantiya Bheel Chowk and proceeded towards the hospital premises.
Police forces stationed along the route erected barricades at the main gate of M.Y. Hospital, preventing the marchers from entering the compound. While the protesters were not allowed to advance further, they were permitted to lay wreaths and pay tribute to the victims of the incident.
