The Jammu and Kashmir administration announced a sweeping set of Ease of Doing Business measures, including the removal of several existing licences to simplify business operations.
The state government of Jammu and Kashmir has introduced a comprehensive package of Ease of Doing Business (EoDB) reforms aimed at improving the region's business climate. The reforms were disclosed in a recent press briefing by officials of the Chief Minister's office.
Among the key steps announced is the scrapping of multiple licences that were previously required for routine commercial activities. By eliminating these redundant authorisations, the government intends to reduce procedural delays and lower compliance costs for entrepreneurs.
The administration also said it will streamline approval processes through a single‑window system and digitise remaining procedures to ensure greater transparency.
Officials expect the reforms to attract new investment, generate employment opportunities and boost the state's contribution to the national economy. A dedicated task force will oversee the rollout and monitor the impact over the coming weeks.
