Jammu & Kashmir's under‑19 side secured a six‑wicket victory over Tamil Nadu in the Vinoo Mankad Trophy, a key tournament for emerging cricketers in India. The win came after a disciplined bowling spell that restricted Tamil Nadu to a modest total, followed by a steady chase from the Jammu & Kashmir batsmen.
The match highlighted the depth of talent in the northern region, with several young players contributing crucial runs and wickets. Coaches praised the team's composure under pressure and noted the performance as a confidence booster ahead of the tournament's knockout stages.
Tamil Nadu, traditionally strong in junior cricket, will look to regroup after the loss, while Jammu & Kashmir aims to build on this momentum to challenge for the title.
