The final day for filing nominations to the Jalore Municipal Council saw 94 nomination papers submitted by 72 candidates, with both the Congress and BJP having lodged their party symbols.
The deadline for submitting nominations to the Jalore Municipal Council fell today, marking the last opportunity for aspirants to contest the upcoming local body elections. Seventy‑two candidates turned in a total of ninety‑four nomination papers, indicating that several individuals filed more than one form as permitted under the rules.
Both the Indian National Congress and the Bharatiya Janata Party have formally deposited their party symbols with the returning officer, a procedural step required before candidates can be recognized under a party banner. The submission of symbols confirms that the two major national parties are fielding candidates in the council race.
