The Tamil action film Jailer 2, starring Rajinikanth, posted a 95% decline in earnings on its 20th day, marking the lowest single‑day haul for a third Tuesday release.
Jailer 2, the action entertainer featuring superstar Rajinikanth, reported a sharp 95% drop in box‑office earnings on its 20th day of release.
The decline brought the film’s single‑day collection to its lowest figure ever recorded on a third Tuesday, a rare occurrence for a high‑profile Tamil film.
Earlier in its run, Jailer 2 had enjoyed robust collections, but the steep fall indicates a rapid tapering of audience interest.
Industry analysts note that such a steep decline is uncommon for a Rajinikanth film, suggesting that the movie may have struggled to sustain momentum beyond the initial hype.
