The Hindi version of Rajinikanth’s action drama 'Jailer 2' earned ₹3.75 crore in its third weekend, with distributors projecting a final gross below ₹45 crore.
The Hindi version of 'Jailer 2', starring Rajinikanth, opened on 1st September and has completed its third weekend in theatres. It collected ₹3.75 crore during this period, bringing the cumulative total to approximately ₹12.5 crore. Despite a modest opening, distributors remain optimistic, projecting a final gross below ₹45 crore, which would place the film in the mid‑budget category for a Rajinikanth release.
The film’s performance mirrors that of the original Tamil version, which crossed ₹200 crore worldwide, but the Hindi market has shown a more restrained response. Analysts attribute the lower haul to limited screen count and competition from other releases.
Producers have announced that the film will continue in select theatres for a few more weeks, hoping to boost the total through word‑of‑mouth and digital releases.
