The second day of the Indian University of Science and Technology's Jammu & Kashmir Science Congress featured plenary lectures and a series of technical sessions, drawing researchers and students from across the region.

The Indian University of Science and Technology (IUST) continued its annual Science Congress in Jammu & Kashmir with a full programme on the second day. Prominent scientists and academicians delivered plenary lectures covering recent advances in physics, chemistry, and environmental science.

Following the keynote addresses, the congress shifted to parallel technical sessions where researchers presented papers on topics ranging from renewable energy to nanomaterials. Participants engaged in discussions, highlighting collaborative opportunities and regional research priorities.

Organisers noted robust attendance from universities, research institutes, and industry partners, underscoring the event's role in fostering scientific dialogue in the northern states. The schedule also included poster presentations and a panel on science education outreach.

The congress, now in its third edition, aims to showcase cutting‑edge research and encourage interdisciplinary cooperation among scholars from Jammu & Kashmir and beyond.

IUST officials confirmed that the remaining days will feature workshops on data analytics and a closing ceremony with awards for outstanding contributions.
