The Indian Territorial Army's Chief highlighted an ongoing standoff with China along the Arunachal Pradesh border, noting that the Shaurya commandos are fully prepared to respond.

The Chief of the Indian Territorial Army (ITBP), Lt Gen. (Retd.) R. K. Sharma, addressed the media on Thursday, emphasizing that a standoff with China remains active along the Arunachal Pradesh border.

Sharma stated that the Indian forces are closely monitoring the situation and have maintained a heightened state of readiness in the region. He specifically highlighted the role of the Shaurya commandos, a specialized unit trained for rapid response in high-altitude terrains.

According to the Chief, the Shaurya commandos have completed recent drills and are fully equipped to counter any escalation. The unit’s preparedness is part of a broader strategy to safeguard India's sovereignty in the disputed area.

The ITBP’s statement comes amid heightened tensions following recent border skirmishes. While no immediate incidents were reported, the Indian government remains vigilant and has urged the public to stay informed.
