ISRO Completes Design of First Module for Indian Space Station
The Indian Space Research Organisation has successfully finalized the design of the initial module required for its indigenous Indian Space Station (BAS).
ISRO announced that it has successfully completed the design of the first module needed for the Indian Space Station (BAS), marking a key step in the country's plan to build its own orbital outpost.
The module, which will serve as the core habitat and provide essential life‑support and power systems, has been developed entirely by Indian engineers and scientists, underscoring the nation’s growing self‑reliance in space technology.
Officials said the completed design will now move to detailed engineering and manufacturing phases, with integration and launch planned in the coming years as part of the broader BAS programme.
