The Indian Premier League’s 2027 mini‑auction has been confirmed for December 16, to be held in Goa, following recent adjustments to the tournament schedule.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced that the mini‑auction for the 2027 IPL season will take place on December 16, 2026, in Goa.
The decision comes after a series of schedule changes that pushed the start of the tournament to a later date. The auction is a key event where teams finalize their squads by signing new players and negotiating contracts.
Goa has been selected as the venue, with the BCCI confirming that the auction will be conducted at a dedicated facility in the state. The event is expected to attract all ten IPL franchises and will set the stage for the upcoming season.
Officials noted that the new date allows teams to assess player availability and manage logistics more effectively, especially in light of international commitments that overlap with the original timeline.
