The International Kullu Dussehra festival has been slated for October 21‑27 in Kullu, Himachal Pradesh, following a curtain‑raiser ceremony in New Delhi.
The Himachal Pradesh tourism department has announced that the International Kullu Dussehra will take place from October 21 to 27 in the town of Kullu. The week‑long festival aims to showcase the region's rich cultural heritage and attract visitors from across the country and abroad.
A curtain‑raiser ceremony was held in New Delhi earlier this week, where officials highlighted the event’s potential to boost tourism and promote traditional arts. The Delhi event featured brief cultural performances and an official unveiling of the festival schedule.
Organisers expect a series of cultural programmes, including folk dances, music, and traditional rituals, to be staged throughout the week. The festival is positioned as a platform for international cultural exchange, with invitations extended to cultural groups from neighbouring countries.
Local authorities have assured that necessary arrangements for crowd management, security, and sanitation will be in place to ensure a smooth experience for participants and tourists alike.
