Indore: Woman kills sister-in-law with kitchen knife, dumps body in water tank

Indore, Madhya Pradesh – Police have arrested a woman from the Raau locality after she allegedly stabbed her sister‑in‑law with a kitchen knife. The victim was reportedly cut with the same knife the accused uses for chopping vegetables.
The motive, according to preliminary investigations, was anger over a remark made about the accused's brother. The woman is said to have acted in a fit of rage, leading to the fatal assault.
To conceal the crime, the suspect allegedly placed the body in a water tank (hauz) in an attempt to portray the incident as an accidental drowning. Law enforcement officials recovered the body from the tank and have launched a homicide inquiry.
Investigators are now questioning witnesses and gathering forensic evidence to establish the sequence of events. The case is being treated as a murder, and the accused remains in custody pending further legal proceedings.
