During a recent public hearing in Indore, residents of Ward 75 highlighted a six‑month long problem of contaminated drinking water. To underscore the issue, councilor Kunal Solanki Kumar Bhatti arrived with a gift pack containing several bottles of the polluted water that locals have been using.
The presentation was meant to pressure municipal authorities to address the quality lapse. An opposition leader seized the opportunity to caution officials, urging them not to repeat the mishandling seen in the earlier Baghirathpura incident, which sparked public outrage.
After the samples were examined, the Additional Commissioner assured the crowd that the water supply would be restored only after thorough testing, signalling a commitment to resolve the crisis.
