Police in Indore’s Palda area raided a warehouse and confiscated several thousand litres of flammable industrial solvent stored without permission, filing FIRs against the owner and two accomplices.
Indore police officials carried out a surprise raid on a warehouse located in the Palda neighbourhood of the city. The operation was part of a broader effort to curb the illegal storage of hazardous chemicals in commercial premises.
During the search, investigators uncovered several thousand litres of industrial solvent, a highly flammable material that requires special licensing and safety measures. The substance was found in unmarked drums and containers, and the site lacked any fire‑extinguishing equipment, raising serious safety concerns.
The police registered a First Information Report (FIR) against the warehouse owner and two other individuals alleged to be involved in the unlawful storage. All three have been taken into custody for further questioning, and the seized solvent has been handed over to the fire department for safe disposal.
Authorities warned that such violations pose a grave risk to public safety and emphasized that strict enforcement actions will continue against anyone found breaching hazardous‑material regulations.
