The 17‑km stretch of Indore Metro began operations three days ago, but passenger numbers remain low, with only a few commuters aboard during a Monday service.
The newly inaugurated 17‑kilometre segment of the Indore Metro started running on Monday, marking the third day of service since its launch. Early reports indicate that the ridership has been disappointingly low, with only a handful of passengers occupying the coaches throughout the day.
Transport officials noted that the train’s schedule and frequency may not yet align with commuters’ travel patterns, contributing to the modest turnout. Despite the promise of a modern transit solution, the initial enthusiasm among residents appears muted.
