IndiGo has begun a regular direct service between Guwahati and Dubai, with flights scheduled to start on 31 October.
IndiGo announced the commencement of a direct, scheduled service linking Guwahati, Assam, with Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The airline will operate the route from 31 October, marking its first nonstop connection between the Northeast region and the Gulf.
The new flight is expected to run several times a week, offering both economy and premium cabins. IndiGo has said the schedule will cater to business travelers, tourists, and the sizable expatriate community travelling between the two cities.
Aviation analysts view the addition as a boost to Northeast India's connectivity, potentially spurring tourism and trade. The airline plans to use its Airbus A320 family aircraft for the sector, aligning with its broader strategy to expand international routes from tier‑2 Indian airports.
