India’s average salary growth is projected to climb between 8.6% and 10.2%, with electric‑vehicle, fintech, healthcare and engineering sectors offering the highest increases.

India’s latest salary survey indicates that average wage growth will rise to between 8.6% and 10.2% this year, a significant uptick compared to previous forecasts.

The surge is driven by fast‑growing industries such as electric vehicles, fintech, healthcare and engineering. Companies in these sectors are expanding rapidly and are willing to offer higher pay to attract talent.

Among technical roles, electrical engineers and quality control inspectors are expected to see the strongest pay increases, reflecting the demand for skilled professionals in manufacturing and quality assurance.

Geographically, the states of Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra, Telangana and Gujarat are leading the trend, with cities like Chennai, Pune, Hyderabad and Ahmedabad reporting the highest salary growth across multiple sectors.
