A Fortune India report estimates the country's live‑events sector will reach ₹13,600 crore in 2025, marking a 44% rise from the previous year.

Fortune India’s latest industry analysis projects that India’s live‑events economy will expand to roughly ₹13,600 crore by 2025, representing a 44 percent jump from the 2024 level. The estimate covers revenue generated from concerts, festivals, sports spectacles, cultural programmes and related ancillary services.

The surge is attributed to stronger consumer spending on entertainment, a resurgence of large‑scale gatherings after pandemic restrictions, and growing corporate sponsorships. Digital ticketing platforms and hybrid event formats are also broadening the market’s reach.

Industry observers point out that major metros such as Mumbai, Delhi and Bengaluru are driving most of the growth, with event organisers reporting higher booking volumes and improved ticket‑sale conversion rates. The upward trajectory is expected to lure additional domestic and foreign investment into venues, production houses and technology providers.

While the outlook is positive, the report cautions that regulatory clearances, infrastructure bottlenecks and talent shortages could temper the pace of expansion if not addressed promptly.
