On Tuesday, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman met with Indonesian Finance Minister Sri Mulyani Indrawati at the India-Indonesia Business Forum in New Delhi.
The two leaders discussed ways to deepen cooperation in the financial sector, focusing on cross‑border banking, fintech innovation and regulatory alignment.
They highlighted the potential for increased investment flows, joint ventures in digital payments and the sharing of best practices in financial inclusion.
Both ministries agreed to set up a joint working group to explore concrete initiatives and to schedule a follow‑up meeting in Jakarta later this year.
