To ease travel for festival-goers, Indian Railways will run extra special trains between Bhopal and Rewa, and between Bhopal’s Rani Kamalapati and Delhi’s Hazrat Nizamuddin stations on 30‑31 August.
Indian Railways announced the introduction of special train services to accommodate the surge of passengers traveling for Raksha Bandhan. The additional services are scheduled for 30 and 31 August, targeting the high demand on routes connecting central India with the capital.
Two dedicated trains will operate between Bhopal and Rewa, while another pair will run from Bhopal’s Rani Kamalapati station to Delhi’s Hazrat Nizamuddin terminal. Both sets of trains are slated to run on the two festival days, providing a direct, time‑saving option for families heading home.
The special trains are expected to relieve congestion on regular services, which typically see a sharp rise in bookings during the festival.
