Indian and US Navies Boost EOD Skills in Joint Kochi Exercise

Indian and U.S. naval forces carried out a joint explosive ordnance disposal (EOD) exercise in Kochi, strengthening interoperability between the two navies. The drill focused on the detection, handling and neutralisation of unexploded ordnance in a maritime environment. Participants from both navies practiced simulated scenarios that included beach landings, shipboard disposal and underwater ordnance removal. The exercise was conducted under the umbrella of the U.S. Indo‑Pacific Command’s ongoing partnership initiatives. Officials from both sides said the training will improve readiness and response capabilities for future joint operations.
