New Delhi has formally objected to a recently published United Nations map that portrays Arunachal Pradesh and Aksai Chin as separate regions, a depiction India says contradicts its sovereign borders. The map, part of the UN's latest cartographic update, places the two disputed areas outside of Indian territory, aligning them with China’s claims.
India’s Ministry of External Affairs issued a statement asserting that the map “misrepresents the factual status of the territories” and undermines the country's territorial integrity.
