India Launches Holistic Progress Cards for All Primary Students from New Academic Year

The Ministry of Education has rolled out a new initiative that will provide every Class I to VIII student with a holistic progress card from the beginning of the academic year. These cards will record not only marks and attendance but also extracurricular achievements, behavior, and skill development, offering a comprehensive view of a child’s growth. The move is intended to foster early intervention, encourage parental engagement, and support teachers in tailoring instruction to individual needs. Schools across the country will receive the cards in both paper and digital formats, with training sessions for educators on how to interpret and use the data.
