Indian law‑enforcement agencies have deported a total of 51 hardened criminals to the country over the past eight months, with six of them returned in August, ANI reports.
Indian security and immigration agencies have successfully arranged the deportation of 51 individuals classified as "hardened criminals" back to India over the last eight months, according to a report by ANI News.
The latest batch, comprising six deportees, was processed in August, bringing the monthly figure in line with the agencies' ongoing repatriation drive.
Officials said the operation reflects coordinated efforts between foreign counterparts and domestic law‑enforcement bodies to curb the return of serious offenders and strengthen internal security.
