India has condemned recent attacks on commercial vessels in the Black Sea that injured Indian seafarers, urging an immediate halt to violence and engaging Russia and Ukraine in discussions on safe shipping routes.

India has publicly condemned the recent attacks on commercial vessels operating in the Black Sea, which have resulted in injuries to Indian seafarers. The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) stressed that the violence must cease immediately to protect maritime safety.

Foreign Minister S. Jaishankar confirmed that India is maintaining continuous communication with both Russia and Ukraine. The discussions focus on establishing safe shipping corridors and mitigating further risks to international trade.

In addition to maritime concerns, India is addressing broader issues related to grain and energy exports during these talks. The government aims to secure stable supply chains amid the regional conflict.

The Indian government’s call for an end to the attacks underscores its commitment to safeguarding its nationals and ensuring the uninterrupted flow of commerce across international waters.
