The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) released the 15-member squad for the upcoming One-Day International series against New Zealand in early 2026.

New Delhi – The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has unveiled a 15‑player squad that will represent India in the One-Day International (ODI) series scheduled to be played in New Zealand later this year. The list includes a blend of seasoned campaigners and emerging talent, reflecting the board’s focus on maintaining a competitive edge while building depth for future tournaments.

Key senior players such as Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma and Jasprit Bumrah have been retained, providing experience in the overseas conditions that New Zealand pitches typically present. Alongside them, promising youngsters like Shubman Gill and Ruturaj Gaikwad have earned spots, indicating the selectors’ confidence in the next generation.

The series, set to commence in February 2026, will serve as a crucial preparatory platform ahead of the ICC World Cup. BCCI officials emphasized that the squad composition aims to balance batting firepower, bowling variety and fielding agility to adapt to the fast‑pitch and swing‑friendly venues in New Zealand.

Coaching staff, led by head coach Rahul Dravid, will conduct a focused training camp in Mumbai before the team departs for Auckland. The squad’s final itinerary and match dates will be confirmed by the International Cricket Council in the coming weeks.
