The India Meteorological Department (IMD) released a weather bulletin this morning indicating that heavy rainfall is expected to affect Bihar, Madhya Pradesh and a number of adjoining states later today. Meteorologists attribute the impending downpours to a deep low‑pressure system moving eastward across the central Indian subcontinent.
