IMD issues yellow alert for Delhi-NCR as rain, thunderstorms and hailstorms expected

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) announced today a yellow alert for the Delhi‑NCR area, signalling heightened weather activity. The alert highlights the likelihood of moderate to heavy rain accompanied by thunderstorms and occasional hailstorms across the capital region. A yellow alert indicates that weather conditions could disrupt daily activities and may pose risks to life and property if not heeded. Residents are advised to stay updated with forecasts, avoid unnecessary travel during severe bouts, and secure outdoor objects that could be blown away. Local authorities are expected to monitor the situation closely and activate emergency response measures as needed.
