The Indian Meteorological Department has released rain alerts for several districts across Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, urging residents to take precautions.
The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued rain alerts for multiple districts in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, signalling the likelihood of heavy rainfall in the coming days.
The alerts, which cover a broad swath of both states, are aimed at warning local authorities and the public about potential flooding and landslides. While the exact list of districts is not disclosed in the brief, the advisory applies to areas that have historically seen intense monsoon activity.
Residents in the affected zones are advised to stay updated through official weather channels and local news outlets. The IMD recommends that people avoid unnecessary travel, secure loose objects outdoors, and keep emergency supplies ready.
Local governments are expected to issue further guidance and may deploy additional resources to manage any water‑related disruptions. Citizens are urged to heed any instructions from district authorities and to follow safety protocols during the rainy season.
