IIM Nagpur inks MoU with Goa Public Works Department to boost traffic management

The Indian Institute of Management Nagpur (IIM Nagpur) has entered into a formal memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Public Works Department (PWD) of Goa. The partnership aims to combine IIM Nagpur's research and analytical capabilities with Goa's on‑ground experience in road infrastructure to devise data‑driven traffic management solutions. Both parties said the collaboration will focus on studying traffic patterns, recommending policy measures and piloting smart‑technology interventions in congested corridors. IIM Nagpur will involve its faculty and students in field studies, while the Goa PWD will provide access to traffic data and implementation support. The MoU reflects a growing trend of academic institutions partnering with government agencies to address urban mobility challenges in India.
