IAS Officer Dr Sagar Doifode Assigned Additional Charge as IG Registration, J&K

The Union Public Service Commission officer Dr Sagar Doifode has been appointed to hold the additional charge of Inspector General of Registration in Jammu and Kashmir, the state government announced.
According to a notification issued by the Jammu and Kashmir administration, IAS officer Dr Sagar Doifode has been given the additional charge of Inspector General (IG) of Registration. The appointment is effective immediately and is intended to ensure uninterrupted functioning of the registration department.
The IG Registration oversees land and property records, registration of deeds, and related legal documentation across the union territory. By assigning an experienced bureaucrat to this role, the government aims to strengthen oversight and improve service delivery.
Dr Doifode will continue to discharge his existing responsibilities while taking on the extra duties of IG Registration. Such temporary assignments are common in the civil service to address vacancies or manage workload spikes until a permanent posting is confirmed.
