The Government of India has appointed IAS officer Dilkhush Meena as the new Commissioner of the Delhi Development Authority, effective immediately.
The Delhi Development Authority (DDA) has announced that IAS officer Dilkhush Meena will take over as its Commissioner from today. Meena, who has served in various administrative roles across the country, is expected to steer the DDA’s ongoing housing and infrastructure projects.
The appointment follows the retirement of the former Commissioner, who had overseen several major redevelopment schemes in the capital. Meena’s new role will involve supervising land acquisition, approving building plans, and ensuring compliance with the city’s development regulations.
Officials say the change aims to bring fresh leadership to the DDA as Delhi prepares to launch a series of affordable housing initiatives slated for the next fiscal year. Meena’s experience in urban planning is viewed as an asset for the agency’s upcoming projects.
The DDA has welcomed the appointment, noting that Meena’s track record in public administration will help streamline the authority’s processes and improve coordination with other municipal bodies.
