The Himachal Pradesh Under‑19 side will play Hyderabad’s Under‑19 team in the Elite group of the Cooch Behar Trophy from 11 to 14 December 2026 at Amtar, as announced by the BCCI.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has released the schedule for the Elite division of the Cooch Behar Trophy, India's premier Under‑19 inter‑state competition. Himachal Pradesh’s U19 squad is set to host the Hyderabad Under‑19 side at the Amtar ground from 11 December through 14 December 2026.
Both teams will contest four days of multi‑day cricket, adhering to the tournament’s traditional format that tests the depth of young talent across the country. The fixture provides a platform for emerging players from the hilly state to showcase their skills against a strong side from the south.
The match will be overseen by BCCI‑appointed officials, and live updates are expected to be streamed on the board’s digital channels. Cricket enthusiasts in Himachal Pradesh are anticipating a competitive encounter, hoping the home side can leverage familiar conditions to gain an early advantage in the group stage.
The outcome will influence the points table for the Elite group, determining which teams progress to the knockout phase later in the season. The BCCI has confirmed that all logistical arrangements, including accommodation and practice facilities, are in place for both contingents at Amtar.
