The Himachal Pradesh government has set a December 2026 deadline to achieve 90% staffing in all state-run medical colleges.
The Himachal Pradesh administration announced that every government‑run medical college in the state must reach at least 90 percent of its sanctioned staff positions by the end of December 2026. The directive was issued through an official circular to the health and education departments.
The requirement covers teaching faculty, clinical staff, laboratory personnel and administrative support across all state medical institutions. Authorities noted that several colleges are currently operating below the prescribed staffing levels, prompting the deadline to ensure uniformity.
