The Delhi High Court has set aside the recently scheduled elections for the management panel of the Bodgeshwar temple, halting the process pending further review.

The Delhi High Court issued an order on Monday cancelling the elections that were to be held for the Bodgeshwar temple's management panel. The court's decision effectively puts a stop to the voting process that had been announced earlier this month.

According to the judgment, the petitioners raised concerns that the election procedure did not conform to the statutory guidelines governing temple administration. The bench found merit in those arguments and therefore deemed the scheduled poll invalid until the legal requirements are satisfied.

In the meantime, the existing trustees will continue to oversee the temple's affairs. The court has directed the parties to appear for a further hearing to examine the procedural lapses and to chart a compliant pathway for future elections.

Temple officials expressed disappointment but said they would cooperate with the court's directives and ensure that the shrine's daily operations remain uninterrupted.
