Heavy Rains Flood Small Rivers in Shahdol, Villages Cut Off

Heavy rainfall over the past days has swollen the small rivers and drains in the Kesavahi and Amalai regions of Shahdol district, leading to widespread flooding. The rising water levels have submerged several bridges, effectively blocking the main routes that connect the villages to the district headquarters. As a result, residents in affected villages have lost road access and communication links. In response, the local police and administrative officials have closed the inundated roads to prevent accidents and ensure public safety. Authorities are monitoring the situation closely and will reopen routes once the water recedes.
