Meteorological departments warn that two active weather systems will bring heavy rain to six districts of the Sagar and Rewa divisions today.
The India Meteorological Department has issued an advisory for heavy rainfall in six districts of the Sagar and Rewa divisions of Madhya Pradesh today, citing the influence of two concurrent weather systems over the state's upper region.
One system is a low‑pressure area over central India, while the other is a western disturbance moving eastward. Together they are expected to generate widespread showers and localized thunderstorms, with some locations possibly receiving up to 50 mm of rain.
Authorities have urged residents to take precautionary measures, avoid unnecessary travel and stay updated with local forecasts. Schools and offices in the most affected districts may suspend activities depending on conditions.
The IMD will continue to monitor the situation and issue further updates if the intensity of the rain changes.
