After decades of Naxal influence, a health department team finally reached Birsa development block, treating and saving 125 children suffering from severe illnesses.
The Birsa development block, long isolated due to Naxal activity, has seen its first health team visit in forty years. 125 children from remote villages were brought to a temporary clinic set up by the state health department. Doctors and nurses administered treatment for severe infections and malnutrition, and most patients were discharged healthy. The visit marks a significant step in restoring basic healthcare services to the tribal population of the region.
