The administrative standoff between Hassan’s District Commissioner and Superintendent of Police ended this week following intervention by senior government officials.

The administrative cold war between the District Commissioner (DC) and the Superintendent of Police (SP) in Hassan district, Karnataka, which had persisted for several days, was brought to a close after mediation by senior government officials.

The dispute, described as an administrative standoff, was addressed through direct intervention by the state government and senior officials, leading to an amicable resolution.

Both the DC and the SP have resumed their regular duties, and district officials say normal coordination between civil administration and police is now restored.

The settlement is expected to reinforce cooperative governance in Hassan and ensure uninterrupted public services.
