The Haryana government has requested the central administration to bring back four IAS officers currently posted in the centre, citing a looming shortage as the state's Chief Secretary approaches retirement.
The Haryana administration has formally asked the central government to recall four IAS officers who are presently posted in Delhi, as the state faces a potential staffing gap with the impending retirement of its Chief Secretary. The request comes after the state’s officials highlighted that the departure of the senior officer could leave critical departments understaffed. The four officers, whose names have not been disclosed, are believed to be handling key portfolios in the central ministries. Haryana’s Home Minister said the state would be ready to reintegrate the officers into the state cadre once they return. The central administration has yet to respond to the request, and it is unclear when the officers would be reassigned.
