The Haryana Road Transport Corporation (HRTC) will operate 266 extra buses on November 6 and 7 to accommodate holiday travel during Diwali.

The Haryana Road Transport Corporation (HRTC) announced that it will run a fleet of 266 special buses on November 6 and 7, coinciding with the peak of Diwali travel. The additional services are aimed at easing the surge in passenger movement as families travel to celebrate the festival across the state and neighboring regions.

The special buses will operate on major inter‑city routes linking Delhi, Chandigarh, Rohtak, Hisar, and other key towns in Haryana. HRTC has scheduled the extra trips at regular intervals throughout the day to provide flexible options for commuters.

Ticketing for the Diwali specials will be available through HRTC's online portal, mobile app, and at designated counters. The corporation has urged passengers to book in advance to avoid last‑minute congestion and to adhere to safety protocols on board.

Transport officials noted that Diwali traditionally triggers one of the busiest travel periods of the year, and the 266 additional buses represent a significant increase over the regular schedule. The move is part of HRTC's broader effort to ensure reliable, affordable public transport during festive seasons.
