The Haryana education department announced that the UDISE code will be required on all application forms for the 2027 board examinations.
The state’s education department issued a directive that every student applying for the 2027 secondary and senior secondary board examinations must enter the school’s UDISE code on the online application form. The requirement aims to streamline data collection and ensure accurate reporting of school‑level statistics across Haryana.
UDISE, the Unified District Information System for Education, assigns a unique identification number to each recognized school. By linking exam applications to this code, authorities can better track enrollment patterns, monitor performance metrics and allocate resources more efficiently.
Schools are instructed to update their UDISE details on the official portal by the end of June 2025, ahead of the form‑release schedule slated for early 2026. Failure to provide a valid code may result in the rejection of the application, officials said.
The move follows similar mandates in other states and aligns with the central government’s push for data‑driven education planning. Parents and students have been advised to verify the code with school administrators to avoid delays.
