The Haryana state administration has teamed up with the Reserve Bank of India to roll out coordinated measures aimed at curbing financial scams and strengthening cyber security.

New Delhi – In a coordinated effort to protect investors and the digital economy, the Haryana government and the Reserve Bank of India announced a joint initiative on Monday aimed at detecting and preventing financial frauds and cyber attacks. The two authorities said they will share intelligence, conduct joint audits of vulnerable financial institutions and launch awareness campaigns targeting consumers and small businesses.

The RBI will provide technical expertise on cybersecurity protocols, while the state government will enforce stricter compliance checks on local banks and fintech firms. Officials highlighted the rise in online scams during the festive season as a key driver for the partnership.

Stakeholders are expected to receive detailed guidelines within the next two weeks, and a dedicated helpline will be set up for victims to report incidents. The collaboration reflects a broader national push to safeguard the financial system against increasingly sophisticated digital threats.

The move has been welcomed by industry bodies, which see the joint action as a necessary step to restore confidence among investors and reinforce India's reputation as a secure destination for digital finance.
