The Haryana chief minister presented the key points of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's recent directives focusing on agriculture, energy security and skill training for farmers.
Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar addressed a state-level forum on Thursday, outlining the central government's latest directives issued by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The briefing covered three priority areas – modernising agriculture, enhancing energy security for rural households and expanding skill development programmes for farmers.
In the agricultural segment, the CM highlighted the push for wider adoption of climate‑smart technologies, improved water‑use efficiency and better market linkages. The energy component stressed the accelerated rollout of renewable solutions such as solar‑powered irrigation pumps and the provision of subsidised electricity to farm operations. For skill development, the state will coordinate with central agencies to launch vocational training modules aimed at increasing farmers' proficiency in agri‑business, post‑harvest handling and digital tools.
Khattar assured that Haryana's administration will align its policies with these directives, earmarking budgetary resources and setting up a monitoring cell to track progress. The government also pledged to collaborate with agricultural universities and private partners to ensure timely implementation.
