The Haryana government announced a strategic plan to accelerate electric‑vehicle production, battery manufacturing and research‑development to rejuvenate the state’s automotive sector.
The state’s industry minister said Haryana will focus on electric vehicles, indigenous battery production and dedicated research and development centres to usher in the next chapter of its automotive ecosystem. The initiative includes policy incentives, subsidies for manufacturers and the creation of a state‑run testing facility to certify EV components.
Officials highlighted that the plan aims to attract domestic and foreign investment, generate skilled employment and align the region with India’s national targets for electric mobility.
